MARIETTA -- Smith Concrete, a Division of Shelly Materials, will use two cancer-fighting concrete trucks primarily at job sites in Washington and Guernsey counties this spring. The trucks also will travel to jobs in Athens, Coshocton, Morgan, Muskingum and Perry counties in Ohio, as well as locations in West Virginia. (Read Story).

MARIETTA - A Marietta man was arrested Friday on felony charges of trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs following a months-long investigation, an official said. Kyle Morris, 28, 103 Muskingum Drive, was arrested during a traffic stop in the parking lot of the Marietta Family YMCA on Seventh Street by officers of the Marietta Police Department, said Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks.
